“Every single dollar you spend on this program will be worth it”
I loved it so much that I had to have my husband sit down and watch them. I left for an afternoon and gave him an an assignment to watch it with the boys. When I arrived home, John could not stop raving. John is a tough sell. He doesn’t like things done half way or “mostly well.” He’s a perfectionist and expects other people to do their best. He had nothing but good things to say about this program. And you won’t either! Seriously! It is amazing.
(Have I said that enough times to hammer it home!?)
I could go on and on and on and on. Please know that every single dollar you spend on this program will be worth it. These are Homeschool Video Curriculums that you will never regret purchasing. (If you only count the 42 lessons, the total cost works out to about $3 a lesson! You can’t beat that.)
“By far our family favorite”
We have tried several history curriculum and programs over the years and have determined that Drive Thru History Adventures is by far our family favorite. Having another opportunity to review their curriculum was a blessing, and being able to partake in their new Drive Thru History Adventures program was absolutely priceless!
As always, you will not find a single thumbs down for the Drive Thru History Adventures program in our home. We all look forward to every opportunity that we invite Dave Stotts to take us on an adventure. The kids love his silly personality and corny jokes, but more importantly they listen to what he shares. We are looking forward to completing our American History studies so that we can get started on the Ancient History Adventures.
“A resounding five stars”
If there was a dream documentary, I would say this is it. There is no over-dramatization which is so prevalent in documentaries these days. However, there is entertainment, as Dave knows how to keep you laughing, which actually keeps everyone paying attention. As mom, I give this product a resounding five stars and will continue to use it for our history.
“Hands-down the best out there!”
So, what’s the bottom line about this curriculum? Make room in your budget to get this subscription! Hands-down the best out there! We love Dave and most of all my children are learning and having fun watching him! We hope to make it to the Bible museum in DC this summer and can’t wait to check out his exhibit. Want to know what my CrewMates thought of this curriculum? Click the banner below to find out!
“Begs me to log in and watch each day”
Drive Thru History® Adventures is FABULOUS! Nathaniel begs me to log in and watch each day. We are both looking forward to working our way through all of Dave’s video’s, seeing history where it took place and enjoying Dave’s humour.
“If you want to learn history the fun way, look no further than Drive Thru History”
I am here to tell you, if you want to learn history the fun way, look no further than Drive Thru History, and their new brainchild, Drive Thru History Adventures. We have had the opportunity to review this Dave Stotts gem for the past month or so with the Homeschool Review Crew and are loving every minute of it.
Since we recently watched The Gospels series, we decided to revisit the American History Adventures. My oldest son, age 16, has watched them via our DVDs, but our youngest has not seen more than a few. He has chosen to watch them without me, though I do have to limit him to about once a week or he becomes a bit obsessed and will watch them for hours. Because he is currently studying American History with our current curriculum, this has been a perfect supplement to what he is already learning. Again, the curriculum is geared to high schoolers so we have answered the questions orally. A few he has struggled with, but most have been easy to talk about conversationally. He doesn’t love all of the documents (I do think they are better aimed at the older students) but he LOVES all of the pictures.
“You will not be disappointed!”
I recommend that you purchase Drive Thru History Adventures for your homeschool. You will not be disappointed!
“Can’t get enough of Drive Thru History”
Amber absolutely loved Drive Thru History Adventures! The variety of video, reading, verbal discussions, and written questions helped keep her focused and engaged. She loves the presentation style of Dave Stotts and can’t get enough of Drive Thru History videos.
“I didn’t think I could be more impressed than I already was”
I enjoyed The Gospels DVD review from last year, so I was familiar with the style and humor of Dave Stotts. Knowing the format before we started I didn’t think I could be more impressed than I already was. I was WRONG! The style, humor, knowledge and Christian based curriculum were all right where I expected them to be. The website, app, dashboard and ease of use is what brought my impression level up even more.
“Live and breathe everything that Drive Thru History Adventures has to offer”
…you can even live and breathe everything that Drive Thru History Adventures has to offer, read all the blog posts, and study the primary source documents like the Mayflower Compact, and even dig deeper on your own. That is my teenage son. He loves this even more than anything Dave Stotts has done over the years, which is a HUGE complement!
“I highly recommend The Drive Thru History Adventures!”
I highly recommend The Drive Thru History Adventures! The homeschool Bible curriculum is great for families who wish to teach their children history from a Christian worldview. This series would be great for both homeschooled and non-homeschooled. This is great for a small group study, homeschool curriculum, church study, Family Home Evening Bible study, and Sunday School study.
“You can’t go wrong”
If you want to bring history to life for your children, or if you have a reluctant history learner like I do, you can’t go wrong with Drive Thru History Adventures!
“We definitely recommend this program”
I could go on telling you great things about this new Drive Thru History Adventures program all day. It is our favorite review product that we have received so far. I like that our whole family learns something every time we watch one of the videos. It captures our attention and teaches us things that we might not learn elsewhere. I also appreciate that I can add extra assignments so my kids can do extra research on a topic. I am also very excited that there will be more courses coming to this program in the future. We have already decided this will be a program that we will renew our access to so that we have it. We definitely recommend this program if you need to learn history.
“they’ll remember so much better than a simple chapter in a textbook”
Drive Thru History is an interactive experience where David Stotts shares history with students, about aged 12 and up, by going to the actual locations where history was made, showing artifacts and important documents and places, sharing paintings, quirky tidbits of information, quotes, stories from the past, and more. Think of it as a history field trip!
Drive Thru History Adventures is a Christian resource. It weaves the Christian faith and its roots and history into each episode. We all really enjoyed learning about Ancient History in this new way. When David would mention something the kids had already learned about in their core curriculum, I could see their eyes light up. Then I could see how they reacted when given even more information or shown pictures or video of things they had only read about before. It’s been a good supplemental resource for our regular curriculum and it’s something that they’ll remember so much better than a simple chapter in a textbook.
“I think your family will love them, too”
And how about my overall rating? I give Drive Thru History a five-star rating. Our family loves these videos! I think your family will love them, too.

“Dave has taken us on a virtual field trip”
History is my FAVORITE. I love to linger on events and time periods, give me a good historical fiction novel and I will loose myself in it for days. When a story is told well, it captures your attention and draws you in. Enter Dave Stotts. We have been immersed in early American History for the last 6 weeks through the new Drive Thru History Adventures. Our host Dave has taken us on a virtual field trip right into battlefields and homes of figures like Paul Revere and William Penn. We have laughed hysterically at his antics and gained a deep understanding and appreciation for the people that founded our great country.

“I could honestly write a novella telling you how great it is”
My kids love Drive Thru History. Dave Stotts is someone who obviously loves history and loves to share that love with others. It’s also obvious that he wants to especially share that love of history with children in the hopes to ignite that same passion for history. It’s this approach that Dave and the Gang at Drive Thru History take that actually get my son to watch a full episode each week without complaints and has him giggling and talking about Dave’s silly antics for days later.
I HIGHLY recommend Drive Thru History Adventures. It’s a great curriculum for the entire family and I could honestly write a novella telling you how great it is. But, the good news is, they offer a 7 day free trial for you to check it out on your own.
“Your entire family will benefit”
I’m telling you, there is so much good information packed into each of the video lessons that your entire family will benefit from watching them. The full curriculum is written for students who are 12 and older, but there really is something here for everyone. Dave Stotts makes sure that every episode is family friendly and even recommends that you sit down together to watch the videos and engage the material together so that you can all process it and learn and study and pray. He is serious about earning your trust and keeping it.
“I could honestly go on and on about this remarkable product”
We have loved this history curriculum from Drive Thru History Adventures from the start, and I believe that it’s perfect for all ages! It has been an invaluable source for me because it has been one more key to making history fun for my kids! I could honestly go on and on about this remarkable product but I would highly suggest you check it out for yourself!
“We are BIG FANS!”
You can see that we are BIG FANS! This has really been Josiah’s favorite curriculum in a long time. He is always sharing something with me he learned during one of the lessons. He’s excited about history and oddly enough, Cheese in a Can.
You will just have to being a subscriber to understand what Cheese in a Can has to do with anything, at all.
“Awesome customer service!”

“They truly have a heart for their viewers”
To say that our family loves Drive Thru History Adventures is an understatement. My kids love the videos and Dave’s style of teaching. His energetic personality, storytelling approach, and silly antics make this series a joy to watch. I appreciate all the extras that are included in the curriculum, along with the articles, expert papers, and links. There is also a whole community of resources that you can access, including a private Facebook group that is filled with additional videos and interaction from Dave himself. From being a member of that group, I’ve learned just how great of a company it is, too, as I’ve seen them respond to questions and suggestions from members. They’ve created a coloring page to keep the littles busy, added captions to some of their content, and more. They truly have a heart for their viewers.
“I don’t want my children to have boring memories of history, do you?”
I’m not sure what other future courses are planned, but we cannot wait to use and enjoy them. Now that we have been experiencing history with Dave Stotts and the Drive Thru History Adventures team, anything else will be lacking. I don’t want my children to have boring memories of history, do you?
“The ultimate guided tour around the world”
They’re excellent! The videos are full of adventure and excitement. It’s like you’re taking the ultimate guided tour around the world from the comfort of your couch.
“The children and I have learned so much”
We have become huge Drive Thru History Fans. The children and I have learned so much by watching these videos and look forward to it every week. I love all of the components that have turned these wonderful videos into more of a curriculum and that with Drive Thru History Adventures you get so many aspects of history all in one place. I cannot wait for the new episodes of Acts to Revelation to come out later this year, but until then will continue soaking up all of the history we can in Ancient History.
“Taken us places we never would have gotten to see”
Dave Stotts is an Awesome and Fun History Buff and he has taken us places we never would have gotten to see or experience! A real unique understanding of American History in a way that I don’t think anyone else can do. This has really got the children thinking and made History fun for us. It sure beats books, and tons of paperwork!
“It’s like Dave Stotts is our new best friend”
Dave Stotts has become a household name around here. I mean, this guys rocks!! He is hilarious and so fun to watch. He makes history exciting and that is a hard feat to take on. He is also super relatable. Just the other day, London was watching on his phone and yells out, “Hey Mom, Dave’s family has the flu!!’ We both were super sad about this. Then he informs me that Dave has a wife and 4 kid and he doesn’t know why anyone would want 4 kids. Haha! I like that Dave talks about his family and his life in his videos. He is more than just a guy behind the screen.
A couple of weeks ago, Dave sent my boys some awesome goodies in the mail. He sent them each a Drive Thru History Adventures patch, a sticker and a personally signed post card. I mean…who does that?? We didn’t have to pay for these things, he just sent them. London and Carter were over the moon. They were both so happy and planned immediately where they were going to put all of their things. This was such a nice gesture from Dave. I posted a picture of them with their goodies on the company Facebook and within hours he had commented on it. It’s like Dave Stotts is our new best friend. Some days, London will often give me some random fact and follow up with, “That’s what Dave Stotts said.” I couldn’t ask more from a curriculum than my child offering up unsolicited info throughout the day. I definitely know he is learning.
My final thoughts about Drive Thru History Adventures is: YES, YES, and YES!! It really is such an awesome curriculum. I wish all the subjects I teach had a program this awesome. Dave is the best, the videos are so interesting and captivating and the additional resources just really tie this curriculum up with a pretty little bow.
“A way to make history come alive”
If you need a way to make history come alive, Drive Thru History Adventures might be the perfect fit. Not only are these videos very informative, they are also entertaining.
“It’s time for an adventure”
https://www.instagram.com/p/BfwPF_EBOBt/?tagged=drivethruhistoryadventures
“Curriculum alone is worth the price”
The curriculum alone is worth the price of admission to Drive Thru History Adventures, but there is so much more to this website. There are new articles published all the time. For example, two of the most recent were on the Transfiguration – very timely. One was Evidence for the Mount of Transfiguration and one was Location for the Mountain of Transfiguration. Another on the History of President’s Day came just at the right time. You can also get a behind the scenes look at the Museum of the Bible. Even better, in addition to blog-style articles, there are also expert articles. Since I took an entire course on parables and sayings of Jesus in college, I really enjoyed the article titled “Parables in the Ancient World and the Gospels.”
“Learning way more in that half hour of video”
This was our first experience with Drive Thru History, and we were not disappointed! The videos were well made, engaging, and covered enough information without being overwhelming. At first I worried how there would be “enough” information for this to justify a highschool course. But I soon realized that AJ was learning way more in that half hour of video than she was for spending a few hours reading out of a book. I think in order to justify this as a highschool program your student would need to do more than the videos. But with this program there are a lot of options!

“Wholeheartedly recommends”
My family wholeheartedly recommends a Drive Thru History Adventures subscription because you gain access to so many valuable resources including the videos, curriculum, and a growing community.
“We call him our ‘favorite teacher'”
Buckle up – History just got more exciting than ever with Drive Thru History Adventures! We have been long-time fans of Dave Stotts and Drive Thru History, we call him our “favorite teacher”…
“We’d enjoy this for the videos alone!”
Honestly, we’d enjoy this for the videos alone! But the addition of the curriculum and all those extra resources here in one fun and convenient website makes Drive Thru History Adventures even better! I thought the topics in Ancient History would be simply the ancients, but found out that some of it is relevant to the much more recent world history that Kennady is studying. I thought the American History course would stick only to what happened on American soil, but the videos took us to England and Netherlands as well. Not only did we greatly enjoy driving through selections of the adventures now, we are definitely looking forward to another drive through the American History course next year!
“Bible history was next on his ‘I want to do that’ list”
Dave Stott is a highly engaging speaker who has put together a program that not only educates the listener, but entertains. He’s a funny man who is at sometimes just a goofy geek (so he’d fit well into our family). You can see his love for history in the way he speaks about it, communicating well the truths of history. He speaks well of how biblical characters fit into the history of the moment. I fully expect once we are done watching the ancient history episodes that we will continue going through the other history as well. My son mentioned that bible history was next on his “I want to do that” list.
“Thank you for making our boys fall in love with history.”
Overall, we loved the Drive Thru History Adventures. This homeschool video curriculum is simply wonderful! It is great to know that there is a fun way for our boys to learn history. Thank you, Dave Stotts and Drive Thru History, for making our boys fall in love with history.
“They were very excited!”

“There are just so many ways that this has inspired my boy”
My boys and I have learned so much from Drive Thru History. Without a doubt these are definitely adventures! My boys loved traveling through the tunnels in Cappadocia and exploring the area where some amazing discoveries were made that prove some of those events (like Lazarus being raised from the dead). Thanks to this program I now have one boy with a deep desire to own a land Rover and another who has a budding love for archaeology. Perhaps one day my oldest son could even be a part of something like this (he loves films and recording videos!). There are just so many ways that this has inspired my boy, who doesn’t show interest in much as of late, but as he has been watching this, has found a renewed interest in history and film and maybe even this will be that seed planted that will encourage something great in years to come. He says perhaps he will have his own show one day but instead of being Drive Thru History maybe it could be singing our way through history.
“Best homeschool history curriculum ever”
We discovered the best homeschool history curriculum ever when we agreed to review Drive Thru History Adventures . That might be a hefty statement to make, “best homeschool history curriculum ever”, but when your kids BEG to watch history videos – you can pretty much say it.
“Take an adventure”
Need an adventure without leaving home in your homeschooling family? One that will entertain and teach at the same time? Would you like an at home adventure that will actually teach and pique an interest in history? One that will stimulate the curiosity of your students for a subject that can be boring, broad or even overwhelming in the choices of where to start and how to get through it all?
Take an adventure.
I have had the recent good fortune of using an online resource that does all of those things. Drive Thru History Adventures is an engaging and fun history curriculum resource. We have been using the American History section and it has stimulated the curiosity of my teen daughter. It has led to discussions and whet our appetites for more. I so wish I had this available when my boys were also my home school students!
“My kids have enjoyed watching episodes of Drive Thru History”

“Dave has made an impression on my kids”
Drive Thru History’s reputation in the homeschool community far exceeded our expectations! It’s a stellar online video program chock full of professionally done and awe-filled videos, provoking questions, along with clever quips and humor at just the right moments! I was SUPER excited to get a chance to use this and wanted to share with you the details on this fantastic journey exploring our history.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed this series and we plan on using it for the rest of the year, plus next school year as well! It’s fun, fact-filled, and funny! By the way, we watch it together as a family and you should too! We want to take advantage of all it has to offer. It’s for all ages and a chance of a lifetime to see firsthand where Jesus walked.
Dave has made an impression on my kids. My son continues to talk about the old, rusty jeep that Dave drives around in the Bible History Series. I think he’s amazed that something is rustier than our van! It’s one he won’t forget anytime soon! My kids were laughing about how “funny and cool” Dave was cooking a barbeque in his car. You’ll have to watch it to find out how. ?
Plus, Dave kindly sent us some bonus materials including badges and stickers, AND a signed picture! He is active socially as well (see his social links are below) to ask him questions or get the latest scoop. We posted a picture below and he responded quickly to say hi. We appreciate him taking the time out of his busy day to respond!
Do you have a history buff in your family?
Do you have a history buff in your family? Do your students learn best when watching videos? Drive Thru History Adventures could be exactly what you’re looking for. Drive Thru History Adventures has been developed by Dave Stotts, who has a passion for history and educating children.
“He had already watched his video for the day”
This online subscription is a blessing and includes Adventures TV so you can STREAM the videos on an app available through the Apple App store and Google Play for most devices. Adventures TV has more videos, chats with Dave about current events and behind the scenes. This has already proven to be the method of choice for Kaden to work on History. Yesterday he told me in the morning he had already watched his video for the day before even going to the bathroom. Great Son, terrific enthusiasm to start the day off right! 🙂 I will admit I have the App downloaded onto my phone too.
“Hands-free history program”
I put Drive Thru History Adventures on their assignment list every day and they just did it. No grumbling, no problems, no stress. I watched some videos on my own so that I could write this review, and had a few discussions with Nate because he is my kid that loves to chat about what he is learning, but otherwise this was a hands-free history program for all my kids!
“Our favorite history program ever”
Having spent the last month with Drive Thru History at our fingertips, we love this curriculum more than ever! The opportunities to interact with the staff through the secret Facebook group for subscribers is great because they answer questions and you can see how other families incorporate these lessons into their lives. While we love videos alone, the interaction that the social media and website provide are wonderful perks that make subscribing a definite plus over simply purchasing the DVDs. I love all the benefits of this program, and we’re excited to Drive Thru History with Dave Stotts over the coming year. It’s definitely our favorite history program ever.
“I am seriously impressed”
I am seriously impressed with the breadth of resources included in Drive Thru History Adventures. Dave Stotts could have created this resource with just the 3 video series plus a little bit ot flesh things out into a curriculum. However, he goes beyond that with continual posts that tie in with the topics from those 3 series.
The beauty of this stie is that the entire family can learn something from it. Younger students may just watch alongside while the older kids go through the accompanying questions and resources. You can always use the worksheets as a launching pad for younger students as well. I’d just go for the discussing the questions instead of trying to have them write out answers.
“Some of the best history videos that are out there”
I truly believe these are some of the best history videos that are out there and that your family will enjoy them as much a mine has!
“We’ve had some great history curriculum, but nothing like this”
After reading all of this, you’re probably not surprised to hear that we absolutely love this subscription! In a culture that has no shortage of mind numbing video games, apps, and videos, it’s a huge blessing to have access to a program that yes, teaches, but does it in a fun, modern, engaging way that appeals to all ages. We’ve had some great history curriculum, but nothing like this.
Dave Stotts, you won over my history resistant 13 year old. She usually has few words to say about a subject, but in her words, “It’s great, he’s hilarious.” That is high praise coming from her. When I see her running over to watch a new video that he’s uploaded, and devouring it, let’s just say, I’m thrilled! I’m very grateful for this resource!
“I love the Drive Thru History Adventures!”
As a homeschooling mama, who loves to plan out her own curriculum, I love the Drive Thru History Adventures! It allows me to still plan out my lessons, but use what the site already has. I can just add in the videos and worksheets were I see fit. If the kids are learning about the discovery of America, we can watch the video, complete the worksheets, and find out more abut Christopher Columbus from the articles provided. All this can be done while still completing the lessons I had planned out. Drive Thru History provides my kids with an added bonus to their learning. Plus it’s fun and engaging.
“My kids are excited enough about what they are learning to tell others about it”
I love the fact that my kids are excited enough about what they are learning to tell others about it. This has not happened with any other curriculum. It is very apparent that they are learning and are excited about what they are learning. For those that may be questioning the fact that this is video based, I can assure you that the curriculum is very solid. It’s just not dry and lifeless.
“Since we started…I feel like history is stress-free”
I’ll be the first to admit history is my weak link and I struggle with teaching it, but since we started the Drive Thru History Adventures curriculum I feel like history is stress-free.
“Begged me to do Drive Thru History Adventures”
My 12 year old son and my 15 year old daughter begged me to do Drive Thru History Adventures on a day that I don’t even have it scheduled! I love that my kids are learning about history from a Biblical Worldview. I love that they are seeing the actual places in history while they are learning about it.
“LOVE LOVE LOVE”
We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE his delivery. I think we’d rank him tied for our top three “teachers” [for any program we’ve used]. We even have a trip back to Washington DC for the Museum of the Bible in the works. It’s something that would probably be on our “eh, doesn’t sound exciting” list, and Matthew looked at me like I had three heads when I said it was opening and we should go. When he found out Dave & Co. did the video presentations for it, suddenly, a Bible museum sounded cool to my teen! Matthew’s bugging me at least twice a week, “When are we going, when are we going??”
“his siblings color the logo”

“It’s just that awesome!”
It is TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE! In fact when you think about the cost of other history programs and curriculum out there it is a FANTASTIC price. Because it is not just one history course but three! Plus it is fun which means your kids will actually want to do it! And what parent doesn’t want a school program that they know is good and they won’t have to make their kids do?
“A whole new level!”
I truly enjoy teaching history to my daughters and Drive Thru History Adventures has taken learning about history to a whole new level!
“Completely worth the cost”
I’ve already kind of gushed about this series…and, really, I love it. Knowing what I know now, having reviewed it, I would definitely get a subscription to Drive Thru History Adventures in the future. The amount of content, and the way it really brings history to life, is completely worth the cost. It can be used as a full curriculum…there are dates and people he talks about that I can’t remember…but if I wanted the information….its there!
“Their heart and love of history really shines through”
This is a history program and curriculum that your entire family can make use of. You will learn, along with your children. Even my Mother has used and absolutely LOVED this review. She’s watched the videos and discussed the questions with each of my children. She’s had my 5 year old snuggled up and watching with her, and my teens have stopped to listen in as well.
As I stated in the beginning, we were more than impressed by this program. Dave Stotts and all those at Drive Thru History Adventures have put so much into the development of this program and curriculum. Their heart and love of history really shines through.
“Too good to be true”
…a program that is just too good to be true and simply from the previews and samples on the website you are hooked. Drive Thru History Adventures with Dave Stotts is just that program. For the last several weeks my family and I have had the opportunity to hop in the passenger seat and travel all over the world as we review this unique online history program.
Now I get where my children are coming from. As a student in school myself I did not find history to be exiting or all that relevant. Maybe it’s the age? But what I loved about Drive Thru History Adventures is that it makes history exciting and impresses upon those watching the relevance.
…Drive Thru History Adventures works for our family. It provides valuable content for all of us and challenges each of us individually. There is something to be learned from this program for everyone from my seven-year-old son right up through myself.
“Your child can continue their learning, no matter where they are”
Dave’s goal was to provide our kids an alternative to “the popular culture that is out to change your kids minds, by providing ““Adventure Learning” – unvarnished truth of history, on location, that’s Christ-centered, fact-filled, and super fun. Getting our kids fired-up about learning important truths and becoming better human beings” And that is just what you get in any of these video curriculums! Dave has been making the series for the past 15 years, and we hope he keeps on doing it, providing the truth in history to the next generation too!
One of the BEST things of Drive Thru History Adventures is the fact that you can view the videos ANYWHERE, on ANY device, thanks to the Drive Thru History Adventures app! Once you sign in, your child can continue their learning, no matter where they are! It’s also good for making a point, when you’re on a field trip, as I recently found out, when Miss Grace had to pull it up to make a point about how the martydom of Polycarp. ONLY my kid! LOL. But it caught the attention of some adults nearby and we shared about the series, and they were quite impressed at how well it taught her connections, as well!
“Has won the hearts of my children”
The whole crew at Drive Thru History Adventures has won the hearts of my children. Not only do they create some amazing educational video productions we can use and enjoy, not only do they provide a place where we ‘adventurers’ can hang out and interact, they surprised us with cool things like patches and decals and even an autographed picture of Dave Stotts with Steve McQueen! (yes, he names his vehicles. He’s cool like that.)
“We got a nice surprise in the mail”

“You can’t go wrong with Drive Thru History Adventures!”
If you want to bring history to life for your children, or if you have a reluctant history learner like I do, you can’t go wrong with Drive Thru History Adventures!
“We have found a treasure”
One of my favorite Bible teachers has always said “Put on your Greek glasses, your Roman toga, and your Jewish sandals to understand the Bible.” Drive Thru History Adventures basically allows us to do this and shows us what it is like because of that. We get to visit the places history happened, listen to experts who know what life was like, and read about the accounts of history by those who saw or experienced it first-hand. And all of this happens through the genius of the Drive Thru History Adventures online curriculum site.
Any time we can find a program that takes us right into the thick of history and shows us things we cannot easily see on our own, we have found a treasure. The history presented is clear and based on what really happened. It is a trust-worthy company that shows us Christ throughout time and how God’s hand is in all of the world. This is a Christian company with a Christian perspective. I am pleased to be able to say we fully enjoy this company and think that their new Drive Thru History Adventures site and Adventures TV are fantastic.
“Thanks Drive Thru History for the swag!”

“Something for everyone”
We really love the work Dave Stotts has done in both the Drive Thru History TV series (which we have been a fan for several years) and the new Drive Thru History Adventures curiculum. Dave has a way of presenting historical facts in a fun memorable way.
Dave Stotts and Drive Thru History Adventures is a great way to spice up the learning and a sure cure for boredom. There is something for everyone with this curriculum.
“If there is one thing you are going to add to your curriculum this year, homeschool video curriculum from Drive Thru History Adventures should be it!”
If there is one thing you are going to add to your curriculum this year, homeschool video curriculum from Drive Thru History Adventures should be it!
As a homeschool family and a Christian, I strongly believe that the past is relevant in our present day. Historical and archeological discoveries continue to validate the Bible. And science just needs to catch up to what God has already told us.
So please, don’t underestimate the value of teaching your children Christian Worldview. Please prepare them for the lies and deception they will certainly encounter later in life. Don’t let your children be one of the majority of Christians who leave Christ after high school. Now is the time to act; now is the time to teach Truth to our children!
Drive Thru History Adventures is an excellent and reliable source that uses passages straight from the Bible to illustrate and discover our amazing God.
“I can always hear him laughing and see him smiling”
My 13 year old son especially loves to watch these adventures and I can always hear him laughing and see him smiling all the way through each episode.
Their Facebook page is also a great personal touch to this program. You are welcomed once you join the group and they are very active on the page each and every day. We even received a special little message from Dave after adding a photo post. That was so exciting for the kids.
“Best set of history videos I’ve ever seen”
Overall, these are the best set of history videos I’ve ever seen. They’re fantastic! My ten year old enjoyed them and so did I. I think we’ll be revisiting these videos year after year.
“To say we’re overjoyed with both the website and what we’re learning would be an understatement”
This has been a month-long adventure in history study. We’ve been blessed to see some incredible places, learn of important historical figures, and gain a deeper understanding of the world God created. We were even blessed with receiving Drive Thru History Adventure patches and stickers! To say we’re overjoyed with both the website and what we’re learning would be an understatement. We can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings, and discover new adventures with Drive Thru History Adventures and Mr. Dave Stotts.
“We all learn from Drive Thru History Adventures”
Some of the articles are actually Expert Papers which go into such depth that I am not sure how much my twelve year old daughters can glean from it. Several times, I have paused while reading an article I fear may be over their heads. “Do you want me to keep reading?” I ask. Their response is inevitably an enthusiastic, “Yes!” When discussing the episode later, they always manage to bring up something they gleaned from the articles.
This May, my husband and I have the opportunity to fly to Israel and see firsthand some of the sites highlighted in Drive Thru History Adventures. A nine-day tour, including airfare, costs close to $2400 per person. If the cost were not so high, we might have considered taking the kids along. Exploring Bible History with the kids has fueled our excitement about our upcoming trip, though we will be able to take in only a fraction of the sites that Dave Stotts highlights in his Bible History Adventures course.
My husband’s simple statement after that first video reflected my own thoughts: “That was good!” He looks forward to days when he can join us for lunch since we all learn from Drive Thru History Adventures.
“Video lessons are fantastic”
Young or old the video lessons are fantastic. My boys are ages 7 and 12—while my 7 year old isn’t as good at answering the comprehension questions, he loves the videos and can remember many things that are covered, even if not in great detail. My 12 year old is in love with this style and so happy we will get to explore the other two history curriculum before our subscription runs out!

“Our family’s favorite history curriculum”
Our family has loved these videos. Even those of us not taking them as a class, have enjoyed watching the videos and learning from them. Dave Stotts is a captivating host and does a marvelous job engaging his viewers. He has a talent for storytelling, that–dispersed with just the right amount of “Dad humor”–grabs your attention and draws you in. This is our family’s favorite history curriculum, hands down!
“Your best bet!”
History is a subject that the kids in my house love to learn about. But I am not too big of a fan. That means it is hard for me to find what they need to learn in a fun way. No longer am I having that issue now that we have the history videos from Drive Thru History Adventures.
If you are looking for a fun and interactive history curriculum, this is going to be your best bet!
“He certainly knows how to make history come to life again!”
We have been using this weekly in our home and have been loving it. My husband goes to work in the late morning so we’ve been watching this all together as a family which has been pretty cool and lead to some great discussions. After the video, if there were extra videos or links and any pictures that are shared on the page we’d look at those or watch them. Like this weeks extra had the reading of George Whitfield’s “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” that we read aloud. For a previous week there were some short videos where Randall Niles, one of the writers for Drive Thru History Adventures, read some of history’s greatest Thanksgiving proclamations. Then we also have what are called Side Roads for some of the weeks, which talk about a particular pertinent historical event in a little more detail – like the Boston Massacre. As I also mentioned there are Discussion Questions which can be printed out for your older students or done as a family recapping what you’ve learned from the episode. My eldest is in 9th grade so she gets to work on the printed worksheet and my younger two (about to be 9 and 12) answer the questions orally.
We are also looking forward to the new courses that are in the works! My children … well our whole family … has really enjoyed learning history along with Dave Stotts. He certainly knows how to make history come to life again!
“This subscription is well worth the money”
My kids already love Drive Thru History so I expected this to be no different. Since most of my kids are young, I found that letting them watch the episodes and then using the discussion questions as a guide for family discussion worked best. The digging deeper and side roads information helped give ME background information to fill in during our discussions. I love the way Dave Stotts makes history fun and engaging for kids (and adults) and hope to see a lot more from him in the future. This subscription is well worth the money for the scope of the curriculum and material you get and new features and videos are always being added.
“There’s so much to do with it”
This is a great subscription! There’s so much to do with it, and you can take it anywhere. It’s great for special needs learners. It’s great for families, and anyone else who just likes to watch factual, Bible based history programs. The curriculum resources are a great addition. David Stotts does an amazing job of bringing history to life by visiting the places we are learning about in the videos, and he does so with a sense of humor. My son was ugly laughing over David Stotts “getting lost” in Rome, only to find out the attraction was closed anyway! It’s that sort of down to earth, fun, and lively experience that makes this curriculum work!
“I may not have dreaded history so much”
These videos are so well done, even my highly critical high school senior commented on how well done they were. We had seen a few of the Gospel videos before but had never explored the entire curriculum offerings until now. I really like how each video is supplemented with additional readings and finalized with a worksheet and discussions. It really helps to bring home the main points even better than simply watching a video. In fact, if I had history classes like these when I was in high school, or even sooner, I may not have dreaded history so much. Honestly, I learned more from this course than I learned in my entire public school education. There is so much packed into each 30-minute video that I found myself wanting to go back and see them again just so I could catch it all. The video presentation is far from boring. Even my technological critical high schoolers thought they were well done and interesting. Of course, I really appreciate the references to Christianity. I also personally loved learning more about Benjamin Franklin.
“Dave Stotts ‘gets’ homeschooling families”
Dave Stotts “gets” homeschooling families and our need for family-friendly, engaging curriculum that can capture attention and encourage learning at different levels. He also gets that every family is different and so he and his Drive Thru History Adventures crew not only make history fun and accessible, but also offer opportunity for you to “try before you buy” and to get bonuses, too. You have to respect that! I know I do.
I have been recommending it to local friends left and right, and, now, recommend it to you, too. If you’re looking for history, geography, archaeology, a Christian worldview, plus fun, family-viewing, Dave Stotts is your guy!
