Roman Coins Related to the Gospels

Coins discovered at archaeological sites throughout the Mediterranean region offer remarkable visual evidence for some of the historical figures mentioned in the Gospels. Caesar Augustus is one of those key people.

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. (Luke 2:1)

Here’s a video from Pastor Gino, one of Dave’s friends, introducing us to the world of collecting coins and other artifacts related to the Bible. Coins provide awesome evidence for Caesar Augustus and other Roman leaders during the time of Jesus.

Good info to further confirm the actual existence of historical figures/characters.
